We are sure you have lots of questions regarding our BBQ Cabins and we have tried to answer most of them here, however if there is anything you wish to know please call or drop us an email and we will get straight back to you.
Why are your Cabins superior to other cheaper versions on the market?
Our BBQ Cabins are manufactured by Arctic Cabins at their factory in Derbyshire. The Cabins are built using Scandinavian slow grown Redwood Pine. It is a very dense sap rich wood which retains warmth very well and because its 120 years old it does not buckle, twist or split like some of the other types of wood used by our competitors.
We build our BBQ Cabins with sloping walls which allows for more comfortable seating and a higher pitch on the roof giving much more headroom inside.
We give you a 10 Year Manufacturers Warranty with your BBQ Cabin whereas most other companies only offer 1 year.
Where can I see one of your BBQ Cabins?
We have a 10m BBQ Cabin and two Garden Rooms as well as Hydropool Self Cleaning Hot Tubs and a Swim Spa on display at our Show Site located here. We would love to show you around and if our opening times don't suit just give us a call and we will arrange a time more convenient to you.Should you wish to see our whole product range we would be happy to arrange a factory visit, just give us a call.
Do I need Planning Permission for a BBQ Cabin?
In most cases you do not need planning permission as our cabins are under 4m high, however we do advise you to check with your local planning authority.
What type of base do I need?
A vented base needs to be in place before the Cabin can be erected. This is something we can provide for you at an extra cost or you may prefer a local builder to quote you for the work. Alternatively the cabin can stand on decking which has a natural air flow through it. The air flow is needed to give draw to the BBQ enabling the smoke to rise through the Chimney Canopy. Please click here for more information on a vented base.
How much maintenance does the Cabin require?
We recommend that you protect the outside of your BBQ Cabin initially with at least 2 coats of Sovereign or any major wood preserve and then an annual coat thereafter. The flooring can be protected with either a paint or stain for easier cleaning, or you may wish to use rugs or carpet. We advise leaving the interior walls natural to allow the wood to breath.
What Type of fuel does the BBQ use?
It is advisable to use charcoal but logs can be burned as long as they are fully seasoned and dry.
What about carbon monoxide fumes?
We have installed air vents at ground level on every cabin to ensure a constant air flow throughout, however, because of recent worries regarding carbon monoxide, as a precaution, we do supply every cabin with a carbon monoxide monitor. Can I build my
Build the BBQ Cabin myself?
